    I am a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist with experience in a wide variety of products and supply chain methodologies, including contract negotiation, procurement audit and reviews. A great team player and easily adjusts to new transitions. Graduated with a Master's Degree in Public Procurement Management for Sustainable Development from the University of Turin (ITC-ILO). I have worked as a Compliance officer at the Gambia Public Procurement Authority where i ensured transparent, efficient and economic public procurement in all government agencies by conducting procurement audits and compliance reviews. I currently work with the National Agricultural Land and Water Management Development Project (The Gambia). The project is funded by IFAD, IsDB and AfDB where i have gathered experience on procurement processes from all the three mentioned agencies.

    • Responsible for planning and executing the acquisition of materials, supplies, equipment, or services that support the delivery of the project • Interact with suppliers on a daily basis to resolve transactional issues and gather critical information invoices, tracking info, tax docs. etc. • Responsible for appropriate supplier selection/bidding processes for all purchase requests, and supplier and contract pricing validation for all purchase requests under the project • Responsible for managing projects to improve procurement processes. • Responsible for supplier communication to resolve transactional issues. • Responsible for resolving invoice price and terms discrepancies to enable order processing. • Perform buying duties for all departments, including meeting with suppliers and preparing for contract negotiations. • Make recommendations about new vendors when necessary to improve supply chain efficiency and meet and meet budgetary goals.
