    Global Sourcing Manager

    Responsible for Private Label Business, vendor management for finished product manufacturing and supply and ensure best-fitted quality, optimal economics, and adequate supply chain security. Planned and executed a 40 mio. dollar global RFP for Commodity Paper products, which included supplier selection, product distribution, and reviewing samples against specs. Mitigated 7 mio. dollars as a result. Managing one of our top suppliers producing 30 mio. dollars worth of Commodity Paper products, exploring new capabilities with them, such as, cutlery, and evaluating their performance. Working closely with existing suppliers in Europe & the Middle East, and continuously exploring new vendors in Turkey, Poland, Germany, Portugal, etc..in various categories for upcoming bids. Mitigating price increase notifications by crosschecking market trends and identifying opportunities. Identified category focus according to spend/volume, explored relevant vendors and built a resourcing strategy to mitigate 10%-25% tariffs imposed on Chinese imports in the U.S. market. Working and aligning regularly with the sourcing team in China, Product Developer and Manager, Merchandisers, operations and logistics team in the U.S. on current and upcoming projects. Manage the full production cycle and delivery of products for the BTS season which accounts for 80% of sales and push for Staples processes to be implemented by the vendor. Work closely with suppliers on corrective actions for failed tests (ISTA & product) and inspections (IPI & FRI). Planning and managing the phase out stage of the incumbent supplier holding 5k tons of Commodity Paper raw materials that includes inventory level and inspections. Negotiate prices, timelines and quality with suppliers. Updating the database with NDA, factory profile and contractual agreements.

    Responsible for handling indirect materials. My roles was to build and maintain relationship with local and international suppliers to deliver products at the best quality, time & price. Ensured Nestle processes and guidelines were applied internally and externally during the sourcing process. Resourced alternative specs for the finished product “Nescafe red mugs” for a bundle promotion and avoided imposed tariffs. Savings were 1 mio. Dollars. Managed 20 mio. dollar annual spend and achieved 2 mio dollars in savings. Contributed to the improvement of payment terms of the function from an average of 55 to 62 days. Negotiated quotations and contracts to ensure the best deal for Nestle on a mutual agreement basis. Ran RFPs for categories, such as, visibility, promotional items, premiums, activations, and media. Worked closely with the stakeholders, i.e. Marketing, Production, Logistics & DSP to ensure products arrive according to the requirements & timelines. Setup scorecards for supplier evaluation, and managed the development of vendors with areas of improvement. Built an annual spend analysis on the category & suppliers which contributed to the re-allocation of the following year’s budget and supplier spend. Built Seven Step Strategic Sourcing Strategies to ensure best in class finished goods external manufacturing and supply.
