Senior Engineer - Freelance (Steel Fabrication)

Position: Senior Engineer

Location: Shaoxing & Taixing

Required Working Days/Week: 2-3 days/week

Contract Period: Mar 2023 – Jan 2024 (up to project progress)

Main Task:

The Senior Engineer is to be a representative of the client in the office and production facilities to ensure the steel fabrication is occurring in the right sequence, pre-assemblies and trial fit-ups are occurring where required and packing of containers is being undertaken correctly along with overview of logistics and programme.

The resource will spend 2-3 days in a factory in a given week and then switch to the other factory the subsequent week.

Responsibilities:

• Link between China and New Zealand.

• Follow up engineering progress.

• Follow up fabrication progress.

• Follow up QA/QC progress together with appointed third-party agency.

• Organize weekly/monthly progress meetings.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role

• Written and verbal fluency in English
