Main Task:
The Business Development Assistant reports directly to the Managing Director,
working primarily from their home. The main task is to identify new prospects for
Dragon Sourcing Services using phone and emailing campaigns and to arrange
appointments with clients for company directors.
Salary: Negotiable
Job Description:
1. Identification and evaluation of prospects
use of various databases and online research to identify purchasing
managers/CPO’s in medium and large companies in the EU and the US.
Contact the purchasing managers by phone and email to introduce Dragon
Sourcing services and offerings
Arrange appointments (physical or by phone) for DS Director to further
discuss client’s objectives and Dragon Sourcing capabilities and business
model
2. Building and managing pipeline of prospects
Suggest CRM tool to use
Keep track of all prospects interaction
Follow up with prospects at appropriate time
Qualifications:
1. A recognized qualification or experience in procurement would be considered an asset
2. Experienced in business development and telemarketing is critical, especially in the
selling of services
3. Strong experience in leveraging social networks to identify and interact with prospects,
especially LinkedIn
4. Total fluency in English. Additional European language is an asset (French, German,
Spanish or Italian)
5. Ability to have constructive phone dialogue with senior procurement executives
6. Strong market research and computer skills
7. Willingness to work from home
