key responsibilities:


must reside in edmonton, alberta, canada.


-oversee the vendor prequalification process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to established guidelines, government of alberta policies, and trade regulations.

-analyze historical data to identify optimal categories for vendor pre-qualification.

-develop and maintain comprehensive vendor prequalification criteria and standards.

-collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and align vendor selection criteria accordingly.

-prepare the solicitation documents required for a vendor pre-qualification.

-evaluate vendor applications and documentation to assess qualifications, capabilities, and compliance with standards.

-conduct thorough due diligence, to the extent required, of potential vendors.

coordinate and communicate effectively with vendors throughout the prequalification process, providing guidance and addressing inquiries.

-engage with legal, when required, to ensure all prequalified vendors meet required standards.

-maintain accurate records and documentation of vendor pre-qualification processes and outcomes.


qualification and assessment:

must have:

a) experience in public sector procurement services - 3 years (mandatory)

b) experience - procurement similar role, experience must be applicable to this role - 3 years (mandatory)


nice to have/desirable skills


a) scmp professional certification - expert level;

b) strong communication skills - expert level;

c) strong organizational skills, ability to organize complex files and documents - expert level;

d) stakeholder collaboration - expert level;

e) strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy;

f) strong time schedule management skills;

g) experience and knowledge of various tenders systems, such as e-bidding and other tendering vehicles (rfi, rfp, itt etc) - 5 years;

h) experience with erp systems (sap modules) - 2 years;

i) experience using microsoft office suite - 3 years.
